Responsibilities
The Police Department is responsible for the enforcement of local, state and federal laws, the prevention of crime, the response to police service requests and overall public safety within the corporate limits and its surrounding area.
Our sworn and civilian staffs provide a variety of services to the members of our community and the surrounding area to promote public safety, information sharing and community development. We achieve this through an integrated approach that involves the combined efforts of public works, health and welfare, beautification, community awareness and law enforcement. Our success is contingent on community involvement.
